Ok here is the experience I had doing this mod.I made the harness as per Cod's diagram with the pin 37 correction and Bose amp pin 10 Shield. I have a 2018 Xtrail TI Aus variant. When I plugged it in everything worked immediately. Night/day illumination changes, All modules in the service menu are green . I thought once I start the car maybe the red lockout would come up but I test drove and everything works 100% without a visit to Nissan. Android Auto also worked straight up with the existing USB but the charge rate is slow. My 2018 Xtrail also came with a 4 wire microphone that already has noise cancelling.
I don't know what grade 2020 Qashqai the later unit came out of and was worried my 360 camera's and Bose amp would not work correctly but these also seem fine. No Park Assist in the TI here.

Anyway I don't know why but everything was working perfectly without re-registering the keys . I will get the newer usb out of the same wreck I got the unit from and see if that speeds up the charge rate,

Interesting you think that the newer USB might work when the older one doesn't. But then I'm a complete novice when it comes to electrics like this.

Hey I have a 2015 J11 with the 3" display in the head unite. Is it possible to install the headunit from a fully loaded model with the bigger touch screen? Would all the functions work?
( I dont care for satnav)

The unit you show is not UK spec so it's possible no one's had experience swapping out that unit.

Check out other postings in respect of upgrades - I didn't have to do it and have no detailed knowledge of the issues involved.

You say you don't need satnav so I'm not sure what you actually think you'll get from the upgrade.

Going to Android would most likely be easier though.

Hello, I’m new to the forum.
Anyone knows the difference between V1 and V2 of the new Connect 4 units? See images attached please. There is slight difference in the model number W0A and W0B. Are there any major differences?

I'm not fully familiar with these units but others on here have reported updating issues. I think from memory some are able to update using either wifi or USB but others can only update via wifi.

Can anyone elucidate please?

Thank you for the reply. I am able to buy any of the two units from different sellers. However V2 is 5 times the price of V1, so just wondering if there is any reason for it to be so.

I've just ordered one as that was my thinking about this tech rather than a trip to a dealer. It's in the post so will let you know once it arrives. I've also created my own harness which seems to work with my new 2020 non-sd stereo in my 2017 build qashqui. It lights up, reverse camera flashes up (before telling me it's locked!). I wasn't too confident initially as the wiring diagrams seen to show it crossing over rather than straight passing through. See my (temporary) wiring as I wasn't confident to solder them so used temp connector blocks. I then made the final connections.

I have the same type of unit as khiles, no PA, 360AVM, LDW, Traffic Sign Recognition, etc
Is this the only correct unit: 259157FW0A?
Or these ones are also correct: 259157FW5B or 259157FW5A?

I bought one with a PA, but the dealership could not reprogram it to the HU.
So I need a new one. These look fully identical by their look, but I'm not sure if the 259157FW5B or 259157FW5A would work...
