Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Hello, I have a Nissan qashqai j11 2018 and I changed the navigation to the newer from the 2019 model with android car and from the very beginning I cannot upload the radio software update because the radio does not see the handbrake applied and thus blocks the system software update and therefore I cannot update the maps. Is it possible to fix or work around it and is it possible to upload the device firmware update via usb?

No need to start multiple questions about the same thing - it just confuses everyone!

I followed this topic and change the head unit in my car.
The unit was coded to the car and changed from RHD to LHD.

Everything is ok but i lost the park assist.

What else needs to be done to get it back ?
Hi
If I understand correctly your old head unit have park assist?
Does the your new head unit have the Park assist symbol on it? beacuse there is usually a PA on the camera button for the head units with park assist.
I think someone on the forum said even if your head unit does not have park assist it can be programe with Nissan Consult 3+

Hello

Yes the old unit has the park assist.
And the new unit has the park assist button.
In the camera display you can see the two symbol for it.

But i get the error that the park assist is not available

Well this seem strange.
Have you had your Keys recoded to allow the new unit to operate correctly? or did you just glitch the unit to test it out?

I am trying to bench test the replacement unit, but nothing comes up on the screen. I can hear a buzz from the CD, and when i press the CD eject button it attempts to eject it normally, but nothing on the screen. I know it expect an ignition signal, so i connected pin 17 with 12v, still nothing. Am i testing it incorrectly?

Hi all, its great to see so many people trying the upgrade. This is the first time I have logged on for a while and its really great to see all the activity.

One thing that is bugging me is the lack of USB power to the USB ports for Apple Carplay. I wonder if there is a hidden setting in the head unit that allows users to modify the power going to the ISB ports. The same headunit works fine with carplay in newer cars so what have Nissan done differently for it to work, does anyone know?
