Positive comments anyone?

Have a lovely storm white 1.7 DCI Tekna on a 19 plate, gorgeous, love it, however....

Just having a look through some posts and beginning to wonder if I have made a sound purchase.....there appears to be an awful lot of issues that owners of QQs are having. I don’t know if this is true of models 2 or 3 years old? I was hoping a 19 plate might give me some trouble free motoring.

Any positive comments on newer models.....please!!!

Have a look at the Battery make. If its FIAMM you may well have to get that changed sooner or later... preferably before the warranty ends. Your warranty should have you covered for unexpected stuff.

Peter, this is a Forum and a Good One at that, but it is general that on the websights you get a hell of a lot of Negative Commemrs as nobody normally will write about the Plus Points.
It appears you have the QQ J11B 2019 with the new Diesel motor and hopefully the updated Nissan Connect System etc....

As Colin has mentioned there were Big problems with Fiamm Batteries, an absolute Disaster and problems are still being experienced, but now VARTA are used hopefully you have one.
Air Con Leakages and Cooling / Heating System Problems related to Faulty Condensers which were replaced if caught in time with the Guarantee but there still appears to be a problem with older QQ’s.
The 1,2L Engines had a huge problem with Oil Useage & Replacement Motors due to Out of Spec parts being used - Guarantee if Nissan agreed. This engine has now been replaced with the new 1,3L.
Also another Cosmetic Problem was the End Caps of the Roof Rails that showed Crazing Effects like scratches - Guarantee ! If caught in time.
On the New Model J11B there was a Major Problem in that the “Hands Free” Button did not function from the Steering Wheel, this was one of the Biggest Posts ever and if you need details please use the “Search” Area.
There are most likely many more points but these I believe were the main points, there may well be more ?

We have a late 2019 QQ J11B Tekna+ with Pro-Pilot with the 1,3L (160PS) Motor & DCT Auto Box. At present I cannot Fault it and really enjoy it. I am also a person that will not accept problems and our Dealer is informed if a Fault occurs - Feedback !
I would just say enjoy the QQ think Positive and if problems do arise inform the Dealer as you have paid your money for the QQ and the Service / Guarantee - I hope this Helps you Dave 👍 😉

Good point Dave, it was my not knowing that the heater rear window also activated the heated wing mirrors that got me here!!

Had a look at the battery, but couldn’t make out the make of it ....it looks like I will have to take it out to confirm.

Really does seem good value. But my only gripe, and I was aware of this before purchase, was that for a car costing in the region of £28k ( I paid 19) I would have liked air vents and USB in the back where there is a pointless storage area. A sunglasses holder by the rear view mirror would be nice, and a switch to close/open the boot. Clearly not deal breakers but just me being fussy I suppose.

Overall it is a nice place to be and despite reports, I have no issues with the 19’ wheels, just the right side of bling!!!

Peter

Had mine nearly a year and it’s fabulous as was my previous J11a.
wrt USB in the rear, you can specify these at build stage and goodness knows why they don’t fit them into every car.

That was a really good price!

I paid £18k for an 8 month old 10k miles ex-rental Tekna four years ago! £7,200 less than list then.

It was quite funny. I took a 1.5 Tekna out and it was fine, but I just felt I needed a bit more for motorways. There was a gorgeous storm white 1.7 Tekna on a 19 plate with 5 miles on the clock. They wouldn’t let me take it out so I said I would walk away. They backed off, loved it, really good cruiser

Got £750 off for taking out finance, paid the 1st instalment then paid it off in full!!!

Had it 7 weeks now and it has just under 300 miles on the clock. Spent more time cleaning it than driving it!

Would just add that for cleaning/ polishing, autoglym is as good as anything I’ve used. Even cleaned my wife’s A3 and sons Polo with little else to do on a weekend lockdown!!
