The delivery date that I had for Friday was delivery by Nissan to the dealer, not the handover date, which is after the dealer has done the prep and the first registration has been applied for. You are a bit in front of me as that work has all been completed for you. My car may have arrived at the dealers on Friday, but the salesman seems to be on holiday.

They will be exactly the same height - the 18" wheels have taller sidewalls.

Consub, as Gloucester has mentioned there is virtually No difference on the Diameters of the 18” & 19” Wheels (only 0.34” on Diameter). I went through all these calculations when we bought our QQ in 2014 and tried to use our Juke Alloys. I hope this helps to explain the difference and does not feel just like going back to School - Dave 🙄 😉

If you are interested the Calculation is as Follows :
1. Multiply the Width by the Aspect Ratio expressed as a decimal.
2. Convert the Aspect Height to Inches.
3. Multiply the Aspect Height by 2.
4. Add the Inside Diameter of the Tyre.

This attachment does not show the 19” Spec :

1E78D8B8-668E-4728-BAF6-1BDA7F9EF2CE.jpeg

Just as a Comparison the Calculation :
215/55R18 > 215 x 0,55 = 118.25 (1) / 118.25/25.4 = 4.655 (2) / 4.655 x 2 = 9.31 (3) / 9.31 + 18 = 27.31” (4)
225/45R19 > 225 x 0.45 = 101.25 (1) / 101.25/25.4 = 3.986 (2) / 3.986 x 2 = 7.972 (3) / 7.972 + 19 = 26.972” (4)

The difference therefore between the 18” & 19” is only 0.34” or 8,63mm on Diameter.

The Overall QQ Vehicle Height has also different quoted Total Heights by Nissan 1595mm & Auto Magazines 1590mm a difference of 5mm (0,196”)

Yes, I did the calculations myself and checked with the dealer that the speedo computer would be re-calibrated. otherwise a 1.3% error. My wife (don't tell her) said after she tried both that the one with the 18" wheels was easier to get out of, and the only difference was the wheels, as long as she thinks its easier I won't tell her what the actual difference is. She also did not like the wheels that were standard on the Tekna. She is happy, and I ended up with the Tekna ----win-win. Paid the balance and completed the DVLA paperwork this morning, so handover will be in a couple of days.

I'm surprised both that the difference is so much and that the speedo needs recalibrating as a consequence. I don't recall that being raised previously as a necessity or possibility.

There does appear to be a very small difference as mentioned but I have never heard of there being an adjustment made. In Germany the Polizei are very Hot on all Aspects of Vehicles & Paperwork, our New QQ has at present the Winter Wheels & Tyres these being 215/60R17 which when calculated are 27.157” Diameter compared to the original / summer wheels being 26.972” which is a difference of 0.185+ On Dia. After all the years here 30 in total I have never been informed or charged for a change - Dave 😊
I find this all very interesting ! 😁

Most people think that the tolerance on the speedo is +/- 3%, wheras it is 0 /-3%, so at 70 it must not read over 70 but can read 3% lower. With today's technology. the dealer plugs a box in to the car and resets the wheel size.
