Hi All

I am a new joiner and am going to be an owner of new QQ. I have a query on the model though, according to the info shared by the sales person, the car model is listed as 2018. This will be a 20 reg as I was being asked to choose a number plate.

Is the model correct as I don’t really want to buy a 2 year old. Also is there anything else I should look out for when picking up the car ?

Hi Thariq001 welcome to the forum!

The model year is the last time the the QQ was updated (facelift) and should be the currently model, on here we call this the J11b model.

Ask your dealer for the ‘build date’ and it will probably be sometime in 2019.

the new 1.3 petrol engines were only introduced fairly recently too. They were 1.2 before that. New engines are great aswell!

Cheers for that, I have asked for the manufacturing date. Yeah I initially was looking at a 2nd hand QQ with the 1.2 engine but didn’t like the sluggishness in comparison to the 1.3. It’s our first brand new car so my wife and I are equal parts worried and super excited. We have a delivery date of this Sunday.

I’m sure you’ll love the QQ, I’ve only just got mine new and love it, the 1.3 is a massive improvement over the 1.2

Hi, you have to be very careful on what Specs you get or in fact do not get when buying the supposedly new QQ J11B especially if listed as a 2018, as there are a lot around with different Specs or just Missing. I cancelled an order 3 times until I eventually found out all the Specs had been included and that was in Sept 19. I do not want to upset you but just take a look at this recent post for example and then ask your Sales Guy - if he in fact knows ! Dave

Look through the forum and make a note of the "how do I ?" questions - loads of stuff your salesperson should be able to sort out for you before you leave the forecourt.
I spent an hour on my handover and we still didn't cover everything.

Thariq, it would most probably be worth you taking a read on the present Specs and even noting particular ones to question the Sales Guy - Dave

check closely with your dealer, my Tekna does not have Pro-Pilot
