Not sure how QQ sunroof drainage works, where the pipes are situated but may be worth investigating.
The Qashqai doesn't have an opening sunroof...

Thanks all for your replies. Will try some of your suggestions. Our friendly mechanic has suggested the door seals or panoramic sun roof. If all else fails we will need to contact Nissan as hopefully they should know of any issues with water ingress.
