Nov 2014 1.6 diesel with 12.5k miles - ie low mileage
Took the car from my parents as they no longer drive.
They kept it garaged for the most part and were never aware of any water ingress issues
The water volume is quite significant and seams to gather if the roads are wet - I don't think it's about the car not being garaged now, it appears to be coming off the road
The water is relatively clear/clean - I'll try to attached an image of the water extracted by a Vax
Any advice greatfully accepted.
Regards
Guy

It could be coming from a leaky heater matrix.
There’s also a chance that perished rubber seals around the passenger door or windscreen are the guilty party.

If it's from the heater it will feel greasy. More likely a door seal. Get someone to pour water over the front of the roof & windscreen area, sit inside and look for leaks.

If it has a moveable sun roof, it could be the drain channels blocked by leaves, especially with the winds we've had.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.
Any joy I'm having same issue as well. Have limited time to look into what's wrong as had a baby a few weeks ago. My car also ended up with mould but not being driven in a while could have caused that along with being damp

I previously had a Jeep Patriot that constantly leaked like a sieve after wet weather. The sunroof drain pipes fouled up extremely quickly, tiny debris, moss, etc. Thus leading to water ingress through the roof mounted lights, front and rear footwell's along with the boot (swimming pool )
Learnt a tip to clear said pipes using plastic strimmer wire, worked a treat.
Not sure how QQ sunroof drainage works, where the pipes are situated but may be worth investigating.
I'm sure someone will chime in soon with a possible solution if this is the culprit.

Welcome to this forum.
We've not heard of problems with damp in the rear foot wells before as far as I can recall.
It might be the door seals but it might also be getting in through the door itself - for example the Mark 1 Fabia suffered from serious issues caused by water tracking down the glass, settling on a ledge within the door and overflowing inside bypassing the seals.
Check the seals are all seated properly first, then check all round the door seals when the car's fully dry for any traces, then blast with a hose and see if you can find a route in.
In summary - you may not have to change the seals.
