Hi was this ever resolved as I have the exact same problem , Nissan dealers have changed the condenser at my expense, got home still the same and then next day it worked for three months, took it back and Nissan recommended a new compressor at 1120 GBP as it leaking inside which is impossible.
I have changed the internal temp sensor, the sun load sensor and the dash climate control console with mother board and it is still the same.
It is definitely not gas, as it is ice cold when it works I have also had it fully scanned and no fault codes appear.
Unfortunately Nissan are of no use what so ever, next will be to check the compressor magnetic clutch.

Dealers often are a bit clueless it would appear.

Best bet, try and find an auto aircon specialist in your area. Main dealers, imo, are general technicians and not specialist engineers.

Diagnosing the A/C + Heater system from a distance is impossible really. Looking at whats been posted here I suspect the mechanical side of the system has been changed...not completely though. Apart from that and considering the system to be in two main parts (mechanical and electronic) systematic diagnosis doesn't seem to have been undertaken. For instance has the following electrical/electronic control system been tested:

Its a system of critical parts and should be logically tested following Nissan test procedures.
