Auto stuck in P

Any ideas daughters car so only phone information ..often will not come out of park...Common problem ? common Solution?

Need to press the shift lock with the point of a biro or similar. Dont know any more, just read it in another post.

yes I got that but exactly where do you poke it ? not got the car here....try explaining to a woman?one post says under a small cover ???

J10 wrang the dealer and he said its right in front of the P on the shift marked shift lock // is that right ..push with a pen or scerwdriver ..??

well I told the daughter where the button was and ordered a new solenoid fo £30 on the ebay ...so as long as she can keep it going till I can get to it ......kids
