Replacement rear camera system fault

Hi, following replacing the rear camera a system fault has appeared. When the screen is showing the camera view, a red box with a red cross is also shown behind the car (although the camera is working).

Any assistance as to why this has happened and how to clear it would be greatly appreciated.

was the correct camera fitted same as what you took out the car? why did you need to replace the camera in the 1st place ?

Hi, it's like for like. The previous camera has condensation in it which made it misty.

Should be a straight swap over then if you got correct part number to what you had origanally

not sure what the little black box means in the camera but camera must be working or i don`t think you would be able to see anything, i`m thinking may be a sensor at the rear is causeing the problem, did you check to make sure all the wires were re-connected ok when fitting cam

did you have the same results showing with old camera fitted, if so think we can rule out the camera is at fault

I did. I'm wondering if it's came up because I've disconnected the camera and maybe need to find away of clearing the fault code?

try takeing the battery off for 15mins and then reconnet it back up see if that helps
