Just press the brake pedal until the green hold indicator is lit on the dash.

All automatic cars have P and have handbrake. P put small shifter inside gearbox to stop movement, similar like put on 1st gear a manual car. Generally same rule applies for both variants, so press P when parked. When on hill, always use first handbrake than use P. In that way tension will be on brakes not at gearbox.
Last but not least, when the car is not moving it doesn't matter on what gear it is, just press P. There is no need to go to N first, except if I want to first put handbrake on a hill than press P.

Thanks everybody. I’m enjoying the car so far. The reverse has some welly when you touch accelerate does it .
I think it will become second nature pretty soon but I had a 2 week wait for the car and that probably got me over thinking!
