A few month ago, a ran into a thermostat problem with my QQ.
After parking, smelt a coolant
It was a small crack in the infamous thermostat housing. The engine didn't overheat and very little coolant was missing in the system. The thermostat was replaced and the engine checked. No failures found.
After that, ordered OBD2 reader, to display constantly the coolant temperature.
Observed that it's reading might reach 110C, but the dashboard temperature gauge shows no change.
Any ideas is it good?
May be the coolant temp sensor located in hotter spot, but the actual engine temperature is lower?
