Glad you got the filter problem sorted they must have changed to paper filters on later cars mind you the are easy to replace as they don't rust like the metal type. Ouch £22 for a £6 filter and £1 sump washer 🤣🤣 had my belt done last year just over £400 with water pump too. But i use a local garage it's about a 5hr job.

Yes I asked them for a belt, water pump, tensioner and the alternator belt while their in there.
Didn't know it was a 5 hr job, I thought about 2
I read on the Renault forum the filter housing is a 64/65mm 14 flute, did manage to get through at a good price Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3 5W30 £34 delivered Arnold Clark.

Have they changed the oil grade on the 2019 qq as it used to be 5w30 c4 😉your plastic filter houseing is normally 25 or 27mm socket i think. As for the 14 flutes thats for the metal filters.

It might just be mine, I believe mine is one of the last diesels. Maybe they had problems with the C4, I read that it doesn't protect as well as C3 albeit only a tiny amount, it seems strange they would go backwards.

Hi, its not due a pollen filter till March and air filter till next year but I will check them just to be sure, it was the oil that I wanted mainly, yes a 5ltr of oil, bonus is the oil filter is on the front of the engine at the bottom so I should not have to use my ramps as my street is on a slope, just up on curb and a sleeper with axle stands and chocks under it.
Have no idea what the dealer has been using but know I know its all up front I can do it every 6-7k, got the 8mm sump plug tool and the 65mm filter tool comes today, maybe get at it this weekend.

The Nissan oil is labelled vaguely, synthetic blend not fully synthetic as others are and a quick google:

Typically, semi-synthetic and synthetic blends refer to precisely the same type of lubricant – an oil that has a formula comprised of a combination of both synthetic and conventional base oils.
https://www.oil-store.co.uk/blog/unders ... etic-oils/

I'm assuming its really a semi synthetic costing the same as a premium brand synthetic?, but that's just my take on it.

You need 6ltrs of oil as your car takes over 5ltrs to fill up. Don't forget you'll need to remove the underneath engine cover if fitted on your car. Normally 9 or 10 plastic clips and 4 bolt screws at the front holding it on 😉
