Yesterday i ( stupidly) pointed out to a colleauge that a couple of bulbs were not working on his car a 2009 J10 ( xenon headlamps) and said i would help replace them,, that'll teach me!!
i replaced the Stop/Tail bulb and then checked it was working ok before fitting the light lens back to the car, then i replaced the D2R bulbs as 1 was blown, after a LOT of cursing and scraped nuckles i went to replace the w5w sidelight bulbs in the headlights, it was then when i noticed the loose wire ,, that was the reason the bulb wasnt working, i took the bulb holder out of the headlight and then snipped the cable,, when i took the bulb holder out of the connector i realised that parts of the connector were missing, ive tried googleing the numbers on the connector PBT 38851 and have seen simular connectors online but they are ( non genuine ) ABS 2 pin connectors and the pics of those dont have any numbers on them
Can anyone please confirm if these connectors are the same??
2009 J10 SIDELIGHT BULB CONNECTOR PLUG
Can you post a pic of the bulb holder ? Scrap yard will be your best bet i would say.
If the side light buld is a 501 then you'll need something like this.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352373700530
