Drove my car to the local post office today, my wife went into the post office and I turned off the engine. A few minutes later, saw her coming out of the post office, started the car which ran for about 3 seconds and then died. On trying to start the car it would start but will not tick over. The car is a J11, 1.6 diesel auto 55k miles on the clock. The strange thing is, the dashboard showed Chassis control system failure, stop/start system failure and red engine management light. Called the AA they plugged in their system and up came 16 other faults none of which relate to engine and most of which were old. When these were deleted, the only fault which then came up was related to the throttle body saying it was closed.
Sounds like a new throttle body unless anyone has any other ideas.
Engine stopped

Update, had the battery changed a month or so ago all reset, but the throttle body didn't like it, quick reset and all is ok.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Further update, car stopped again and all indications are the throttle body is shot. When the engine warms up the butterfly closes and stops all air flow, engine dies. Only fault is related to closed butterfly. This was confirmed by both the AA and my local garage.
I phoned Nissan to ask if they could look at it and was told £156 for diagnostic and repair earliest was 1st week in November, needless to say I declined. I have now lost all confidence in my Nissan and will look to change soon, it WILL NOT be another Nissan experience with them has not been great or even mediocre
