Hi all I am sorry I've not been around for a bit here is the
report from my Tekna 1.6 cvt Mileage 4150 my eco score is 85 and I am getting
about 56 miles per gallon

I received the car 17th June, first impressions of the car were
exhalant, it took a few days to get use to the connect system and the rest of
the tech. I was worried about the 19" wheels but was soon reassured after
driving a few miles very smooth, the CVT is so incredible no gear shock like
the DSG box, the steering is positive the car drives along as if it is on rails
the seats are very comfortable and very easy to find a good driving position.

In July I went on a driving tour of France taking in Paris, Saint-Nazaire, La Rochelle, Biarritz, Tours, and
Bayeux then on to Holland Breda then Amsterdam, just to give the car a work
out. The tour lasted just over three and a half weeks. The car acted
impeccably, most of the journey was on motorways with cruise control engaged
flicking the switch on the steering wheel to adjust the speed. When we were in
the Chunnel I changed the miles to kilometres so it showed me on the dis my
exact speed. I didn't have the plastic beam deflectors as I have LEDs the
automatic lights dipped when needed

My girlfriend who can
go nowhere without the kitchen sink was impressed with the boot space (so was
I) two large suitcases with a makeup bag that would have a pilot on EasyJet
panicking about the take-off weight, at no point did I have to take the parcel
shelf off and was even able to fit in the duty free or as one of my friends
commented "a small brewery".

The navigation system never let me down the only thing I
know about France was it was south of England with a bit of water in-between, I
didn't have a clue or a map, I use the send to car app on my Samsung s4, at the
hotel with Wi-Fi connection I put in the destination went into the connect
system as soon as I got in the car and there it was. Eco mode took us on some
very interesting roots but never let us down, the fast root did what is says on
the tin. The voice commands were very clear and process. The sound system works
well I have spent most of my life presenting radio and working in night clubs
and now I am 61 my earing has diminished somewhat and it sounds fine to me.

Reversing with cameras and mirrors is so easy and safe the sensors
beep if a suicidal cat walks in your path without the cameras I could have picket
up a few points.

The car didn't miss a beat and made progress with ease no
matter what was thrown in its way even when going through the very busy small
streets of Amsterdam with crowds of people the system was having a fit changing
between the map and the cameras beeping as it went, missing the smack heads and
the voyeuristic individuals with ease.

I have fitted window deflectors which tend to make a noise
at 70 mph, my fault not the cars and the other problem that I have encountered
is people asking me "what shade of black is the car, its nightshade which in
different times of the day depending on the sun and weather conditions some see
black or a dark cherry colour. As you can see no life changing problems
although I forgot to close the panoramic sun roof when we headed for the beech
one afternoon 97F it was rather worm when we got back to the car the air conditioning
sorted the problem out without fuss.

In conclusion, a well put together bit of kit that is very
clever in that it gets you from A to B with no fuss and is very safe and comfortable.
In my opinion for the people waiting for their car it is well worth the wait,
you have made an exhalant choice, I know I did.

Good to know cause i'm coming from bmw and merc cars and was wondering how comfy is the qq. How's the insulation inside? Is it relatively quiet?
Thanks for the answers

Hi JcDI "traded up" from a 2012 Merc C Class Coupe to a QQ and I haven't regretted it for a minute. The QQ is WAY WAY more comfortable than the Merc. which was ruining my spine and loosening the fillings in my teeth at an alarming rate. The Auto box is also much smoother and the down-shifts when accelerating on the motorway (for example) are much better than the Merc. To be fair though, the Merc's auto box was much better from a standstill, the QQ CVT box takes a while to "spin up" before acceleration commences (not sure if there's a software update for this). Also, I was concerned about moving from a 2.2 diesel to a 1.6 but (once you get moving) the performance difference is hardly noticeable and the QQ's diesel engine is quieter and smoother than the Merc's was.Obviously, practicality is in a different league. You had to be a greased contortionist to get in the back of the Merc whereas the access into the QQ is fantastic.Hope that helps

Interesting report cliff. My house-sitters arrive tonight and we are off at 7.00am heading straight up for 600kms to Canakkale. Canakkale for those who do not know, I did not till I lived here, is the gateway to Galibolu, or Galipoli as you would know it. We will hot swap all the way to cover the mileage as fast as we can but staying within the speed limits. Then into Greece via Ipsala and then around Greece for a few days before heading back home. I expect to put around 3000kms on her in 7 days so we will see how she holds up.
