In response to the 2 prior posts:
"3) If your well outside the warranty period then your on your own, get rid quickly." OR spend approx £420 and get your housing updated to the latest version which, through Nissan includes a one year warranty on the part.
"I am curious what Nissan UK's response is. Has anyone ever approached them?" Yes, twice and was told no-one else had reported this issue. LIE. And again when I submitted a complaint to be told to book my car in if the part failed. SERIOUSLY?!?! I.e. wait until my engine suffers catastrophic failure and then book it in. UNBELIEVABLE.

Hi All,
I am new on forum.
Just bought QQ 69 plate with 1.3 engine and I am so worrying about thermostat after reading all the posts on this forum.
Donno what to do tbh but I am close to make decision to replace with updated version just in case.
Can anyone share the link where I can buy this part please?
Can anyone can confirm if this part is the same as the one from Renault? The same part number but Renault selling it for half a price.
Have any of you tried replacing it yourself?
Many thanks

Does anyone have any idea wheter the QQ 2021+ models are also affected with this issue.
Is the N110600260R already installed on the 2021+ J12 QQ ???
Are there already known cases of 2021+ QQ models breaking down because of the faulty termostate housing ?

Not seen anything other than 2019s and 2020s so far, it suggests it's a product age issue, ie it gets weaker over time and then fails. 2021s would be too new on that basis. But can't answer your other question.

I am curious about the following: for the people whose thermostat housing has ruptured, did this really happen suddenly?
Has there been any leakage at the thermostat housing? Nissan (garages) itself indicates that regular checking of the thermostat housing for possible leakage can be a harbinger.

"No previous leakage. Just happens suddenly"
If that is the case then changing the housing to a later model is necessary.
However ... who can be sure the 'new' thermostat housing type will really solve this issue !???

We can't be sure, but surely after 3 or 4 attempts they've finally got it right??.... and it comes with 12 month warranty of its own.... and is surely still better than playing Russian Roulette with the old version.
