Tip: if you get your thermostat housing changed BEFORE it fails, make sure the invoice/bill clearly states "Preventative Maintenance".
This will help when it comes to sell the car and make your car stand out from those replaced only after failure which might put doubts in buyers minds as to the true state of the engine.

Hi All,
Guys, I contacted one of the parts suppliers requesting a thermostat housing for a 2019 QQ 1.3 DIG-T and was informed that based on the VIN of my car this part 1106000Q2E fits my car, but from what I understand it is an old version. Can anyone confirm if part 110600260R is the updated version? I'm really not sure about the correct part number for my QQ. On the Nissan website this part 1106000Q2E fits my QQ.

Hi all - many thanks for sharing. Allow me to add another one, this time from the Netherlands. When driving on the highway, our Nissan QC (2019, 1.3 deg T 160, 90.000 km, well maintained, bought from reputable Nissan dealer) lost power, no warnings and came to a grinding halt. In the salon there was some smell of fuel. The AA (in Dutch ANWB) had to come and noticed a full-bore (!) rupture of the cooling system (at the connection point if not mistaken). Got towed to original car dealer where they replaced the thermostat (500 euro). Cars are far from my area of expertise but I obviously asked about overheating etc but we were 'guaranteed' the issue got fixed. We drove around for another 2 weeks after the car did not start anymore (again smell of fuel). Towed to the dealer who assured us this time that the fuel system was the next main issue that had to be replaced, which they did (1500 euro). Drove around for 2 weeks after the car again suddenly did not start anymore. This time for real as the dealer now 'suddenly' was convinced the engine needs a full replacement. Personally find the whole experience bizarre (understatement). First, as I would never have expected this from a car this new, with this amount of mileage and from this brand. Secondly, I am still amazed that they tried two fixes first. Thirdly, reading this forum it should have been clear from the start as it seems not something that just happens to us only.... Waiting on Nissan NL's answer who was contacted by the dealer (4 weeks ago now) but thought to share already. Keep you posted and in meantime appreciate any of your suggestions. All best, R

Just got back from the dealership and they have checked mine as it had white water spots on it. Turns out that the bleed cap was the wrong one and was letting some pressurised coolent out. I'm going to get mine changed over soon to a updated version for peace of mine when I have the 5 year coolant change.
