Passenger side airbag fault?

Hi.
First post hopefully this is in the correct section.
2008 Nissan Qashqai J10 - 1.6 petrol Visia
Issue - Red flashing airbag light.
Resolution - Tried the key method and although light went out it returned a few days later
- Replacement squib fitted today but still same error
The garage has stated that the fault is showing with passenger switch? I am trying to get a fault code will ask when I collect the car.
The only thing that may have affected it is when I was moving some wood recently and a piece may have slid underneath and damaged only unit underneath there.
I have been through the forums and can only see fixes for the key method or replacement squibs.

Anyway couple of questions -
Does the passenger side have a control unit under the seat? Or is this a different component that may trigger the fault?
Do I need a replacement SRS Airbag control unit? If so does it need to be reprogrammed?
There are replacement items out there but I have already ended up buying two squibs with one and two connectors so trying to avoid anymore incorrect parts and more downtime of the vehicle

Just had an update from the garage the passenger side airbag switch is showing at fault. Apparently an easy fix so going to buy one from Nissan/Ebay and fit myself then retry

Just to update the forum I have received the switch today so looking to remove old one and replace with the spare. Will see if this removes the airbag light after a reset

Quick update for the forum - Switched out the airbag on/off switch , set it to off first and was pretty easy as just pop it out and pop new one in. Started up engine light went solid few a few seconds, off then started to flash again. Tried the reset option but same again went through slow flash mode but still kept flashing so frustrating. On a side note my battery has had to been jump started a couple of times over the last month, I put this down to short car journeys I am currently making. Went to local Halfords, car would not start so battery tested turns out it was not fully charging , had a thought that the airbag system has a battery backup so perhaps the root of this issue was in fact the battery causing the issues anyway bit the bullet got a new battrey. Started up still same flashing airbag light. Tried the three times reset again went solid , flashed slow but did continue to flash.
Back to the drawing board.
So my current options are to try the airbag control module, lucky a local breakers has one in for £30 , at least worth a try. My local indie that I take the car to has said of the switch swap does not work bring in and they will hook up the diagnostic tool again see what faults , I can also get them to reset the codes and see if that clears the airbag light once and for all. Will try and get in this week so will post up soon.
