Thanks, interesting. Bit worried about side-loading apps re phone security and permissions but I guess you could do this with a separate / barebones device with minimal personal content on it, solely for this purpose.

Yes that would be a way of doing it if you are worried about 3rd party apps, I use it on my main phone and have not had any issues, most secure apps like banking apps have good security.

Nice one. I tried it today on my J11 and could watch you tube on the screen. The TV programmes didnt load correctly tho so might have to reinstal.

if you are not getting any TV channels, make sure the m3u address is typed in lower case, as with mine, my country was in upper case and it would not find any channels. when corrected all the the channels came up.

Obviously IN UK, illegal to watch TV/Videos whilst driving.
If you had an accident, not sure what insurance company would say!

I only use it when I am parked, but if anyone is stupid enough to watch TV or use mobile phone whilst driving then that's on them.

don't think you can, too many restrictions on iphone.

there are wireless adapters that take sim cards, so you don't have to use your phone, that may be an option, it runs android OS
