The engine is not starting due to no adblue, I have completely filled the adblue tank, but it doesn't seem to be registering so car refuses to start, saying adblue is empty. Anyone experienced this, and what is the solution as I can't even drive the car to a local Nissan garage.

If I remember correctly there is or was a software glitch with the AdBlue system.
Get the RAC to recover your car to your Nissan dealer.

Hi sounds like you are another victim of the Adblue curse. You probably want another Adblue tank/sensor unit.A cost of about £1800.You need to talk to your Nissan Dealer to put in a complaint for you to get a reduction in the price for the repair.Should not be failing, not fit for purpose! Good luck! Tahirusman786!!

Yikes! That sounds bad because it’s just happened to me and I’m stuck in the High Street on a Saturday when all the Nissen service places are closed. Did anyone manage to sort it out themselves? A bill of nearly £2000 is horrifying and I guess I’ll have to get rid of this car if this is the sort of cost it causes. Any advice would be gratefully received

Remove all the ad blue. From the tank, put 5 liters back in, you get crazy things happening if you overfill the ad blue.oone slim tube all the way in you have to wiggle it to get it in, run that to a 10 liter container, put a shirt piece of pipe in then block the hole tightly, blow into the short piece till fluid starts to come out the stop and let it do it's thing, container has to be lower than the ad blue tank. That may sort the problem.

Very good advice. The level sensors don't work if they can't bounce a signal off the fluid surface then the software thinks the tank is empty.

It's how I sorted mine when it stayed on after over filling, now I put 4 liters in when it pops up on dash.
