I'm having an issue with a newly purchased qashqai 2015 J11 tekna.

When the boot is full and I try to lock the car an alarm sounds (once) and the car won't lock.

I thought maybe the boot was too full and interfering with the lock mechanism, so I took half of the items out so the boot was only half full and there wasn't anything near the back near the boot lid but I'm getting the same issue.

A real problem as can't leave the car unattended when travelling away for the weekend etc.

Any help would be massively appreciated!

am i right in thinking that when you have nothing in the boot it locks the car no problem ??

When you try to lock it are you sure it only beeps once? Or does it Veep 4 times?

On the dash it should say if a door or boot lid is still open the only thing it doesn't show is bonnet. Sometimes adjusting the bonnet switch by bending the bracket up a bit sorts it

I always charge heavily when travelling (the wife loves to bring EVERYTHING with her ) and sometimes indeed, something blocks the door lock.
You should be able to feel and see the difference but you know for sure when you lock and it goes like "beep beep - beep beep".
