There are times when I need to leave my car unused for about 8-10 weeks and its not possible to take the battery out or trickle charge it. On my old J10 this wasn't a problem but I've just got a J11 which has a few more 'smarts' fitted.
Does anyone know if the 70ah battery fitted in the J11 will last the 8-10 weeks without using it.
Thanks

The longest I ever left my J11B was about 5 weeks whilst I was away in New Zealand.
Started on the first press of the button on a very cold February morning.

Get a reasonable size solar panel and leave in the front windscreen connected to your battery, should keep it topped up ok.

Thanks for the replies.
5 weeks is encouraging, I guess I'll find out when I leave it.
Solar panel - ok when the sunshines but not a lot of use in a covered garage or parking lot.

Car in the garage, solar panel outside, and the sun does not have to shine, daylight works fine

I'm sure the people at the airport parking lot would like me to have a long lead running from my car to their rooftop

If you are really worried, get a jump start pack and keep it in the boot

If you leave the car idle for several days, you can use this specific function. see the video below. in this youtube channel you will find a lot of info on the Qashqai
