So upon taking advise not to use leak sealer I have done some digging and found it to be the thermostat housing that has somehow sustained some damage. Next question is how an earth did this happen 😂

same issue here since last Friday. I could not tell where the leak was coming from but there was a hissing noise from around the THERMOSTAT AND HOUSING area.

I bought the part for £24 at gsfcarparts.com and fitted it myself. It's not a big job but you'll need a few tools for the job. here are some pictures.

Thanks, everyone for your contributions to the forum. I was able to fix a similar issue this morning on my Qashqai J10 2008.

Bought the part at 9 am this morning and swapped it with the faulty one. I was done by 11 am.

My 2019 had a coolant problem which I paid dealer to fix in 2022. A year later loss of coolant and dealer explained plastic from original problem had gone in the radiator and engine which is a write off so need new engine which the said is approx £20000 plus £2500 labour!

Raised Customer complaint, spoke with AA and Which for legal advice. Their advice is await dealer response and come back for assistance if necessary. Anyone else had similar experience?
