I can't understand how you're getting reverse gear as implied if you've shifted into first! Or is it just rolling backwards?

Nope, I am hitting the acceleration and it moves in reverse but definitely in 1st gear. I've had Qashqais before so I know what I am doing lolgloucester wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:05 pm I can't understand how you're getting reverse gear as implied if you've shifted into first! All the new Qashqais are mild hybrid. Don't know the full technical side to it.
So they called me, it seems that the person who called knows this is a known fault in some of the cars and he's not sure why the garage didn't fix this. Something to do with the gear selector. The earliest date they had was end of July but I am flying out 1st August so will get it fixed when I get back.

So can you pull off in 1st separately using Battery or Engine drive. Or is it fixed in one or the other?

If that's the case this is a very serious issue that Nissan should immediately implement a full worldwide recall. You can't have vehicles going in the opposite direction to what the gear selection should do.
I'd reject the car immediately.

.
The car starts moving using the engine.
There isn’t an electric motor so battery only supplies power to the starter motor under extreme acceleration, presumably this adds some oomff - I guess the majority of QQ owners will never experience this effect

I, among many other problems, have the annoying squeak of the brakesIqzy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 7:58 am I currently have a J12 Qashqai Manual 1.3 DIG-T and have had it 1 and a half months (already done 1200 miles!). Just couple weeks ago I have noticed the brakes squeaking as grinding to a halt or braking at various times. This should not happen on a brand new car off the showroom.
Another issue I found was when put into first gear at times from halt, the car would reverse as you hit the accelerator (no I am definitely on 1st gear) and I am on level ground with auto hold on I would need to put it back to neutral and try 1st gear again for it to even move. Glyn Hopkins acting like "oh that shouldn't happen but ok" but I gave my car in today so lets see.
Anyone else seen any identical issues to this on their new car?
I agree. I think he said it's happened to some cars but surely you need to recall all to see if there's a fault right?gloucester wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 5:26 pmIqzy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 1:12 pmgloucester wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:05 pm

Did you get it checked? They keep saying there's nothing wrong but surely a new car shouldn't squeak?Niko89 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:42 pmI, among many other problems, have the annoying squeak of the brakesIqzy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 7:58 am I currently have a J12 Qashqai Manual 1.3 DIG-T and have had it 1 and a half months (already done 1200 miles!).
