I didn't know that. I'm surprised the garage didn't think to rule it out of the equationBuffy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 10:35 amGood call , but if there is a water leak to combustion area , then often the cooling system becomes overly pressurised.xaote wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 8:58 am Coolent doesn't always go into the oil system when a head gasket fails. It can go from a coolent passage directly into the combustion chamber.
If it is loosing quite a lot of coolent, white smoke will be evident coming from the exhaust.
Can you get someone to follow you in another car?
Use all the rev range at slower speeds. Avoid high speed roads as the smoke won't be seen.
A sniffer test in the expansion tank will rule out this.
If still with a pin hole some place , or a waterpump bearing passing coolant when hot

No white smoke. I took it to a 3rd garage and they did pressure test and said there is no leak. I have ordered the chemical test kit for head gasket. Let see. All the 3 garages have confirmed no problem with head gasket.xaote wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 8:58 am Coolent doesn't always go into the oil system when a head gasket fails. So I did the test but fortunately it stayed blue in colour. No colour change and there is no milky dipstick or oil cap. No bubbles in coolant in expansion tank. No overheating as well. I have booked appointment with Nissan so lets see whag they say
OK - so if the logical has been checked - lets try the illogical route.
Have you only recently become the owner of this vehicle.
When you "top up " the coolant - are you filling it to the very top - or to the max mark.
This is not meant to be insulting to you , but the logical route for water loss apart from the water pump bearing passing liquid at high temperature , has been explored by you
