Dongar confirmed to me that the "ECONOMY 7-PIN" is compatible with the J12 Qashqai mirror.

This was a very productive discussion, and I bet Dongar sales will increase.

Just installed the adapter as it arrived this week. All works fine, live on ignition. Just noticed on the photos I may have to move the cable as it’s close to the sensor on the back of the mirror, may get a longer cable as the ones supplied are quite short.

With the adapter, you get a micro usb and a mini usb (I think), both about 15-20cm long

Great idea but that looks very untidy.

Rather go through the long process of hardwiring the old way and tuck/tidy up the cables nice and neatly.

I guess its a matter of preference. The advantage of the hardwired installation would be constant power, which would allow continuous recording (AKA parking guard mode).

Any guides on doing that on the j12 qashqai, without risking damage to the trim?

Finally my adapter arrived, so I installed it today, as tidy as I could. Pretty discreet I think. You can barely see it from the driver or passenger seat. Both the mirror and dashcam work like a charm. And the sensor at the back of the mirror is not blocked at all.

Hello!
The 7-pin connector to J11 is broken for me! Where can I get such a connector?
eBay?
What is the exact name that is good for the J11?
Thanks for the help!

Hi just been looking back over your forum posts and see you may have an answer to my question, I’ll attach my post below so you can see my issue

Hi I’m hoping someone has experience of fitting the B84526UROA integrated Qashqai Dash Cam. I have a 2023 E-Power Tekna and notice there are spare socket outlets in the back of the rear view mirror. I am wondering if it’s possible to wire in this Dash Cam there as it’s so close to the windscreen mounted Cam and would save removing the head lining and door pillar covers. I’ve sent an email to Glyn Hopkin and my local Nissan Garage (who supplied my new car in June) but neither have replied. Many thanks in advance for any suggestion or help

Hoping you may have the answer
Many thanks Dave
