Replacement V5C log book arrived this morning.
Taxation class changed from
PETROL CAR to
ALTERNATIVE FUEL CAR [X]
Type of fuel changed from
PETROL to
HYBRID ELEC [P.3]
If anyone acquires a second-hand J12 Qashqai (built in 2021/early 2022), it would be best to check the V5C log book to make sure the taxation class has been amended accordingly.
Just awaiting a pro-rata refund

Does this mean that the annual car tax will be less?

Yes, it should be £10 a year less, based on current figures.
Rates for second tax payment onwards (2022):
Alternative fuel = £155
Petrol/diesel = £165
Electric = £0
