Just a heads up in case it helps anyone. Don't think we'll get -15°C in England for a while...
Nissan has identified that your vehicle may have received the incorrect concentration of Long-Life Coolant (LLC). In this condition, the coolant may freeze if the vehicle is exposed to ambient temperatures lower than -15°C. If the coolant freezes, there is a risk of coolant hose failure and coolant leakage. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the engine may overheat resulting in a warning light (MIL) being displayed to you and in the worst case damage to the engine.

Please contact your Nissan Dealer as soon as possible to arrange to have the LLC concentration corrected. This procedure will only take around 1 hour to complete and will, of course, be free of charge.

Actually, I read it yesterday, but I had some thoughts about it, so I wanted to read it again today because it is so well written.

This recall might only affect a handful of cars made on one shift or part of a shift. Given no-one else has heard anything it doesn't sound a widespread issue.

So Nissan have identified they made a mistake and recalled the affected cars. Many manufacturers don't own up at all. Why are you worried?
