A friend just sent me an image of Toyota's new bz4x which will have this fly-by-wire 'steering yoke' option this year, it started as a concept but I believe they are putting it into production.
It must increase the steering input at lower speeds for parking/slow speed manoeuvres etc but it just looks like another expensive nightmare should anything goes wrong with it.
Would you add it to your car?

Yeah I'd have that. But only if I had 3 year PCP type deal so the car was always under warranty.
