I am curious to know why my centre display does not show the time or other info on it. It would say oil good, or oil lo etc. but other things, are not shown like the clock, distance to empty, mpg etc.
Is this because I have the sat nav unit?
I notice on the info in the sat nav it has some service stuff and mpg.

Press the i button on your steering wheel and it should change the information.

On the J11 you can choose in settings what comes up in the central display. I haven't had a J10 so don't know if the same might occur there.

I think it is different, I cannot chose the settings, I may need to get the owners manual

I just realised that I do not have the 'i' button on the steering wheel.
It seems to be only on the sat nav unit that I can see some of these things. But not on the dashboard info display

I have a 2011 one but not a 2008 one and the former's different in this area. The lower right button under the display seems to control it though.

I have now got the Qashqai owners manual, I bought it used on ebay, the correct one for pre-facelift J10 as there is one to download online but it is for the J10 facelift.

It was as I thought, there is no way I can get the display to change as because I have the satnav unit, it is linked to the centre display. I guess the only way to gain back these features is if I disconnect the satnav completely. It mentions this in section 2
