Hi Andy,

I was going to do the glow plugs and renew the relay but the fuel filter is good idea.
Its on the list

Thats ok i thought i'd mention it as they should be replaced every few yrs

Glow Relay Unit (4 glow circuits) is fed by 80A fuse direct from Battery and controlled by the ECU directly.
Glow Relay DTC is PO380

Diagnostics shows PO381 as:

Probably not helpful but I had duff glow plugs in my first RAV4 but being non-technical I didn’t really know what was wrong other than it took quite a bit of cranking to start from cold. Apparently enough heat is eventually generated to ignite the fuel.
The difference new glow plugs made was a revelation.
