On Saturday , when the weather was cold and windy , I had my tailgate open for about an hour as I was clearing a garage.

I closed the tailgate and it dropped like a stone.
Now there is no assistance what so ever

Strange how suddenly that one or both struts have failed.

A call to the dealer is due

Replaced yesterday - took an hour !!!

What a fuss over a 5 minute job
Although the parts are covered by the manufacturers warranty , the dealer does not have the authority to replace them without consent.
So I had to wait for the cogs to turn between the manufacturer warranty dept and the dealer.

Not great

I was advised the same applies to wheels.
