New car day

So today I collect my new car. I have gone for the Storm White N Connecta 138 with pano roof and tech pack in manual transmission. I’ll upload some pics and review once I have driven it if anyone would like to see and hear what my thoughts are on it? :)

Little worried as it’s been in the showroom a few days so no doubt people have been sitting in it to get a feel of it. I am hoping everything’s fine and I’ll be checking the detail of it with a fine tooth comb 🤪

I have it booked in, in January for the ceramic coating to protect all the interior, paintwork, glass and plastics so it should look insane when that gets done.

Congratulations on picking up your new car.

What ceramic coating are you having and who's doing it.

If it's Diamondbrite or such like then it isn't ceramic.

Hi,

It’s a guy near me called Obsessive Detail.

He uses gtechniq crystal serum and exo v4 which provides the highest lever of protection. :)

Congratulations !!!!

"January for the ceramic coating "

That doesn't sound cheap to have it done, but will be worth it !?

Getting a good 'All-Risk' insurance seems a better option ... for where I live ;)

Yeah it’s £550 but if it protects the car exterior and interior then it’s definitely worth it. Hoping there’s a cancellation spot but he needs the car over 2 days so it all depends if it fits around my work etc as well. :)

Your new car looks great, congratulations.

Gtechniq crystal serum and exo v4 are one of the top makes, your car will look stunning once you've had it coated. Does the price include a single stage machine polish and do they take the wheels off to ceramic coat them both sides.

Just remember NOT to take it through a garage car wash and definitely DO NOT take it to one of the many £5.00 'hand' car washes, they'll trash your coating in no time.

As the saying goes, the car wash is £5.00 the swirls and scratches are free.

Regards, Chris.

Thank you :)

Yeah he said not to wash it now until he does as he literally does it all. He’s pretty decent tbh, he posts so much on his insta of his work and a he has alot of returning customers to keep up with the work he’s done.

He will be the only one to wash it, I have never used a car wash, I’ve always washed them myself before but thank you for the heads up, it’s appreciated!

I am tempted to do it myself as the new Gyeon can coat coming out in January can be used outside as most need to be done inside and I don't have a garage. 12 months protection stated so would expect 9 months but could top with a topper.

As it's the only car can't have it away for 3 days being done.
