If you've read the topic above you'll see that we don't believe Nissan has a dashcam that fits the J12.

What is the part no?

Glyn Hopkin Customer Service say the dashcam they sent me was for a J11 and was wrongly advertised, so they will reimburse me for the camera and fitting costs, and let me know when the J12 dashcam becomes available. I see Sandicliffe are still advertising it though!

Has anyone had any joy in sorting this yet as I have noticed that Glyn Hopkin are now offer the J12 Dashcam as fitting the MY2 & E-Power versions but NOT the MY1 whatever one that is ?

Confusing information, "check compatibility" link suggests it might be OK - probably safest to give them a call if anyone is thinking about investing.

My local Nissan dealer fitted dash cam Part Number: B84526UR0A on collection of car .I have added pictures to let you see where they placed it . Wasn’t to sure of position as I thought it would have been in front of rear view mirror. However it doesn’t bother me now .

Can ask how much your local dealership wanted as I am being quoted £237 fitted ?

I was interested in fitting the B84526UR0A to my Qashqai Tekna e-power. I thought the camera connected behind the mirror. Nissan says "Genuine Qashqai J12 Dash Cam (MY2 & e-Power) Front Facing. This camera is made especially for new Qashqai & benefits from a fully integrated fit, offering a clear view of the drivers' areas". Does anyone know if the camera just plugs in or does it need a professional install with a link harness? I think it should look like the image attached.

I just put my Nextbase on the windscreen, dropped the wire down and used a sticky pad clip to fasten it to the back of the infotainment screen and plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket. True you can see a bit of the wire, but it does not obstruct forward view and is not really unsightly. Might eventually get it hard wired at Halfords for £60.

Update

Have had the dashcam fitted at last a year after I first tried and after a discussion with one of the technician I have had it fitted under the mirror as I wanted

When chatting to the technician he advised that the fitting instructions issued by Nissan state that the dashcam should be fitted to the left of the mirror

I have also noticed that all of the pictures for the new dashcam do not show them fitted only as a stand alone picture
