I don't disagree. I'm in the same situation myself. Coming from a car that had only wired CarPlay to one with wireless is a big plus for me. But I can understand the criticism. Considering the J12 has pretty much every bit of car tech Nissan could throw at it, and goes up to close to £40k, you'd just have thought they'd have modernised the look of the interface (and made it a little more responsive).

Apple CarPlay is my default choice on the Connect screen which also connects to my Apple Watch with haptic feedback and sounds for directions when using Apple Maps as the SatNav. :)

When I use Apple CarPlay, with the Connect screen, it’s just the same as looking at my iPhone.

The digital cockpit graphics are clear enough and the information is legible.

Carplay/Android doesn't really count as the car is just mirroring the phone screen. The criticism is against the car's built-in interface and in-built sat-nav, which just look old and janky compared to a lot of what is currently available. The digital cluster (while perfectly good enough) also doesn't look as slick and modern as most other cars which offer one).

I'd have to say that digital display looks rather a mess with the various icons liberally sprinkled all over it. Could they not have lined them up at the top or the bottom?

This one from the internet looks a lot clearer:

It will probably receive an overhaul with the facelift model in a few years time, just enough to tempt people to buy the new version? ;)

You can charge your AirPods via the charging case on the wireless charging mat - compatible equipment required though ;) :geek:

My Qashqai is having its first service today (minor service).

The only problem I have asked them to look at is the SOS light in the roof lining - it is constantly lit red, whilst driving, instead of green. It only started to do this in the past few months. 🆘🔨

Great, but there is a glitch in the car computer software/firmware that, for my MHEV J12, indicates 100 MPG !
I then refuse to store this inaccurate figure (it now is set to 58 MPG / 4l-100km ... which is also almost impossible because of the way I drive in Sportsmode)

I always default to Sports Mode for some strange reason ;) :D

Just collected my Qashqai. Tyres have 8mm of tread all round. 🛞

Service (minor) would have cost £229 but I paid for 3 years upfront.

They need to order a Telemetric Control Module to fix the SOS fault, so that might take a few weeks to arrive and an hour to fit. 🤷🏻‍♂️🆘
