I bought a 2016 model a few weeks ago. Sometimes I clutch and press the start button it's doesn't start, the car shuts down completely. I need to open and close the door to reactivate it. Does this sound normal, some security thing?
Appreciate any advice, it's still on warranty so if its not normal I'd like it investigated
Thank you

Welcome to this forum.

I don't recall being in a situation where the door had to be opened and shut again to get it to start. See what they say.

The problem might be replicating the problem for them so possibly start taking videos on your phone each time you start it hoping to catch it misbehaving?

That might be a Battery or Battery sensing problem...?

The diagnostic pointed to some systems having a power supply issue. Maybe its connected to that

The Battery is the prime power source. However, power feeds (fuses/relays etc) from the Battery are controlled via the Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) which complicates things quite a bit.

One simple thing you should do, is to ensure both battery terminals are tight/ not corroded. :)
