Qashqai +2 2011 1.5 DCI - does it have radiator bleed tap

My car is loosing coolant abd blow white smoke so I suspect my Qashqai head gasket is on its way out.

I am going to put some Steal Seal https://www.halfords.com/tools/garage-e ... 76185.html in to see if this provides a temporary fix until I can more comfortably afford the head gasket replacement.

It says to drain the coolant however I am struggling to find a drain plug on the radiator - does this model actually have one or do I need to just remove the bottom hose pipe?

Thanks

Welcome to this forum

If you can't see clearly on your car why not do as I do in such circumstances and look at an equivalent part on eBay - often there are detailed pictures.

Example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313656955235 ... Sw1s9e0-e7

Doing that shows two hose connectors and a further smaller one.

However the parts diagram unhelpfully doesn't show anything connecting to that:

... and I'm too ignorant to know what it might be!

Likely remove lower pipe as common on cars generally...no need for drain holes that probably add expense to production and some unreliability.

Now that is a genius idea! .... which is why I never thought of it

This diagram https://zinref.ru/avtomobili/Nissan/004 ... SH/171.htm had me fooled trying to find a drain plug

Looks like I can locate and disconnect the hose at the bottom.
