Here’s one for you…
I have a family member who had a Mk1 Qashqai motobility/wheelchair.. which served him very well.. he loved it.. the mk 2 threw a problem at him as it couldn’t be adapted to accept his roof box/electrical hoist for his wheelchair . He really likes this new one, ( he saw mine) and was wondering if anyone knew what the load bearing/capacity was if indeed it is available without a glass roof? He’s struggling with a Mitsubishi thing at the moment but he’s not that keen on it. The original one wasn’t done through the official motobility channel.. so he’s thinking he might have to get a private engineer to have a go which no doubt cost him£££
Thanks in advance for any answers

Qashron, I am pretty sure these Lift Guys have already worked out the way to go on the new J12. Found a few website addresses that might be worth a look at for you. The wife uses a Rollator for Walking when needed and we bought a Carbon Fibre one the weight and handling is in another ball game, light, easy to handle and fold etc..... - Dave

Is the former one a roof box which has a hoist incorporated? I've never heard of it!
Loading capacity on roof rails is frequently cited as 75kg so I'd have thought that would have applied to the Mk1 Qashqai as well as subsequent ones.

Give them a ring but it looks to be designed to accommodate the usual 75kg weight limit. I can't see any reason why you couldn't put it on any Qashqai, with or without panoramic roof.
Weights
Lift capacity 20 kg
Unit weight 55 kg
