start/stop system warning fault?

Hello, i bought a nisssan qashqai just recently n connecta 2017, however on the first drive there was a system fault came up with the message" start/stop system fault" , on the road the engine is also stopping coming up with the fault message ,dealer also said new battery was also fitted in , has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix
