As per the title, I can use the drivers master switch to open and close both rear windows, but the switches on the rear doors don't work.

I suspected a faulty 'lock' button on the master switch so got a replacement unit, but no change. I've checked the rear switches, and they are definitely connected up.

I've looked at fuse diagrams and it doesn't look like the switches are on a separate fuse, so I'm a bit stumped! Has anyone else experienced this?

Does the front passenger window work from its door switch?

Power is supplied to the 4 doors from the BCM (Body Control Module). Power feed is separate (wired) to the Driver door...so the other 3 are common on another wire.

Are you certain the safety lock switch for rear windows isn't turned on??

Front passenger switch works just fine

Utterly certain, I've tried it in both positions with both the old master switch and the new.

You'll need to check if 12v and/or ground is supplied to the rear door power window switches. The Nissan diagnostics list only these faults:

Switch
Motor
Wiring and plug/sockets

The driver switch lock function actually removes the ground (earth) feed from the pax/rear switches...thus disabling them.

Thanks, I've got a multimeter somewhere I'll dig out and give them a test. If there's no 12v/earth is it a case of following the loom back to the BCM and hoping to find the problem?

We have no info on BCM...so, for that its a case of harness and plug/socket check only.

BCM is supplied by the Battery direct and an Ignition sw supply. Either of those failing would give failures elsewhere. There might be a fuse within BCM for the windows since no specific fuse exists elsewhere but that would lead to the pax window failing as well.

Check that 12v and earth change with switching: (either at rear pax or driver window switches)

12v available at ignition ON
Earth disconnects from pax switches with Lock button switching

I haven't got around to testing the voltages yet, but I've been looking at the workshop manual for the j10 and in the 'PWC' section, the wiring diagram suggests that the signal for the rear windows is sent from the master unit to the rear window switch, and then to the motor. If that's the case, I presume the connection between master switch and rear switch must be ok, otherwise the window wouldn't operate at all. I realise the best way is to actually check the signal, I'm just throwing ideas around until I have time to do it!

Its a simple system and I hope PWC is right....relies on earth being switched IN and OUT via the wire pairs to the 3 window switches. So whats common about that?

Only a meter test can reveal.

PWC mentions an Anti Pinch system but I can't find any diagram related? See P72

I have a 2018 tekna 4x4 dci 1.6 and passenger rear window does not operate with either rear window switch nor the drivers. I have changed the rear switch with known working one but still the same. Is the issue likely to be the door wiring loom or is there something else I could check?
