Power Window Lock

My power window lock switch has stopped working. All the windows work fine, but I cannot lock the back ones to stop the Grandkids fiddling with them.

I have changed the complete switch module in the drivers door, but it makes no difference. Any other suggestions please (other than hitting the Grandkids with a big stick!!)

I'm not disputing that, but I would still like to solve the fault. If something's there, I like it to work.

Electrical issues can be very complex. I expect calnorth will be along shortly to elucidate.

The power window lock switch disconnects the ground wire from all power window motors except the drivers side. You still have a fault with the ground wire feed not disconnecting from the 3 windows basically. Nissan diagnostics recommend the change in main windows control switch and/or a wiring check as in your case ground appears to be permanently connected?.

POWER WINDOW LOCK
Ground circuit inside power window main switch shuts off when power window lock switch is ON. This inhibits
power window switch operation except with the power window main switch.

Thanks for that. I did wonder if it was perhaps a break in the loom. I'm assuming its one of the cables coming from the small three pin plug at the drivers switch panel

You'll need to inspect a rear door window power switch - 3 wires. 1 wire is 12volts and the other 2 are ground. The ground(s) should be disconnected by the driver door main switch window lock. If ground does not disconnect you'll need to test the wiring from the driver main switch.

The diagrams show main switch having 6 wires. 2 each to the 3 non driver doors and each carrying ground. The reference/incoming ground wire might be in the same main switch plug housing as those 6 wires. A short might be there...somehow?
