Tekna 2016 Low Beam Issues

Hello

Been up all night trawling the forum without any luck.

I bought a 2016 Tekna last week, all seemed fine until torrential downpours.

I have now noticed quite a bit of condensation in the front headlight unit, in addition to this, more importantly, I have notice the low beam headlight comes on as normal and after driving for a bit it goes off, particularly when turning.

I believe you cannot just replace bulbs, but may have to buy a whole unit if faulty.

Are there any other reasons why this is happening? Could it be because of the condensation or would it be more of a technical issue?

Driving me crazy and really not sure what to do. Possibly covered under my 1 month warranty with the garage in bought from.

Thank you in advance of any help!!!

When the LO lamp extinguishes, when does it come on again? During further driving or ?

Changes each time, could be 5 minutes down the road, I feel as though it turns off when pulling out of a junction, like a full right turn.

Not sure if condensation would affect it, but there is a small build up within the whole case.

The thought of having to spend £500 on a new unit really hurts

Also, sometimes it could stay off for miles, get home, turn engine off, leave for half hour then comes straight on when I start the car

Nissan diagnostics state the LED bulbs are not replaceable therefore the complete headlamp has to be changed. The moisture within the headlamp is very suspicious. Not sure what turning has to do with it though...unless part of the wiring /plugs/components are sensitive somehow?

Nissan diagnostics fault list: (IPDM is the cars power distribution unit)

Thank you for your assistance, I am going to go for a long drive now and try and diagnose exactly when the light goes off.

Will report back later

Thanks

Welcome to this forum.

Sounds like it could be a breaking wire or a corroded connector.

Try unplugging and replugging.

Thank you, when you say unplugging and replugging do you mean the bulb? As with the tekna you cannot get to the bulbs?
