Removing Front Emblem from J10

Hi Guys,

After lifting the hood and finding the clips used to secure the front badge into place, I tried popping a clip out and it snapped. I'm assuming this is because it's not been done before and the car is from 2011.

As I am reluctant to break anything, does anyone have any advice for removing this bad boy effectively?
