Hi All
It is possible that you may be saving a life this evening , because I am at my wits end
I bought my Qashqai last September and to be honest was very impressed , a lot of car for not a great deal of money ..however
At the beginning of January it developed a fault with the media unit , basically the volume comes on full blast when ever you try to use it , phone , radio and sat nav etc , all work visually fine , just the control of the volume.
When I purchased the car I also took a gold warranty package for trouble free motoring .. not so good so far
Duly booked it into a Nissan main dealer to have a look at and low and behold they came back with " it's broken " and charged me £99.00 to tell me what i already knew , and quoted me £4054.00 for a replacement head unit.
It also seems the warranty cover only cover's the media unit for a total of £500 plus vat ( £600 )
So , to save my sanity , I was wondering if any of the members could assist or have any advice on the above to repair or replace with an OEM unit
( would personally like to keep it original , if possible but understand the coding difficulties etc )
Any help would be appreciated
Andy

Didn't really want to go down the OEM route , but looks like I may have no other option

Thanks Mike
Certainly pointing towards that direction , was sort of hoping there was a reset somehow / way that would save the day

Buy a 2nd unit from ebay and get nissan to unlock it to work in your car. Not sure how much they charge for thatChellandi123 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 7:32 pm Appreciated
