Took a 1.6 dCi 360 out for a test drive today and noticed that when you put your foot down in 3rd gear there seems to be a bit of a flatspot - the turbo kicks in and then seems to stop and then starts up again - just wondered if this is normal or something I need to ask the dealer to fix before buying?

Welcome to the forum.

I haven’t driven the 1.6 diesel but I can’t imagine that the condition you describe indicate a healthy car.
In my humble opinion you should find one which isn’t faulty

I drive a 1.6 dCi auto and there are no flat spots when accelerating on mine, as MikeGC says best leave alone.
