Bit strange, with my woes of the turbo failing, had the replacement fitted and all fine except there is an obscure exhaust flap which is not operating correctly but shows no fault codes at all. The guys who did the repair are injection specialists, mainly diesels and they are of the opinion it is something to do with the auto stop/start. The car runs very well, but the stop start does not work very well, rather intermittent. I have tried searches on here, but all the searches show fault codes being thrown up where as I said, I have none. Anyone any ideas?

The exhaust flap is only there for low pressure egr, so majority of time you won't see it work as low pressure egr flow happens as your driving it can start if let idle for sometime but your best of using a bi directional scan tool to actuate it and visually look at it move.
That flap actuator has built in position sensors so if it commands it to move to a certain position and it doesn't get there it will flag up a DTC.
