Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Post by Alan923 »

Just picked up a 2020 Nissan Qashqai 1.3dig-t liking the car so far just a few things want to see if common issues.

Clicking sound when pushing the clutch pedal down, on inspection looks like clutch pedal arm is hitting a metal bracket on footwell. Should there be a cover that has maybe been lost?

When closing car doors sounds very tinny if that makes sense is there something to do to reduce the sound when closing the door?

No major issues which is good but a few annoying ones which hopefully be an easy fix

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

In my humble opinion the clutch pedal should not be making a noise of any type.
The doors - sadly that sounds familiar, no idea what you might be able to do

Good Luck

I’ve got the same issue on my 2020 1.3DIG-T with the clutch pedal hitting the metal bracket. Do you know what the dealer did to fix?

From my experience, my clutch pedal was clicking, then the end of the connecting rod (to the master cylinder) snapped off! When this happened, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor and I could no longer change gear. Luckily, I managed to pull over into a relatively safe spot. It's not too difficult to change the clutch master cylinder, on my J10.

I found this YouTube video helpful for how to show the damage and how to remove the master clutch cylinder. I now recommend replacing the master cylinder with a quality replacement, after my fashioned repair piece failed, after a couple of months.
