Hi everyone. As per the title does anyone know how to permanently disable the ultrasonic sensors in a 2015 QQ? I know you can disable it when leaving the car by pressing the button above the mirror but this is a one off operation and the sensors are then enabled again when the car is used. Three or four times a year a moth is triggering the alarm in the middle of the night and so I need a permanent solution before I apply a sledgehammer to the car. I couldn't find anything in the settings menu.
Any help we would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
I know the button next to the mirror works but can’t tell you anything about permanently disabling the sensors. Additionally I suspect that your insurance company could take a dim view of permanent changes to the factory alarm system.

Welcome to this forum.
I was also going to mention the insurance angle though it's unlikely the insurance company would know.
Presumably you could get remove that trim panel and unplug it?

Many thanks for the replies. If there is no way to permanently disable via the settings, which a major oversight in my view, I was wondering if maybe covering the sensors with blutac or something else might work. Has anyone else tried this?

Quite likely I'd have thought. And an easier option.

As far as I can tell the Intruder detection system (Sonic) needs to be continually communicating with the Car main alarm system. If it doesn't the car will not proceed to a full and silent security state on locking the car. The Alarming of the car steps (and returns) through a series of states to acquire full security integrity...via Key/Fob locking that is
So interrupting the Sonic sensors artificially will kick off the main car alarm rather than stop it from being a nuisance...which like Stop/Start it very much is.
Anyway try it.....

The answer is found in the handbook:
To exclude the ultrasonic sensors:
1. Press the ultrasonic sensor deactivation button.
2. Close the door(s)/bonnet/back door and press the lock button on the keyfob to lock all doors/back door.
The ultrasonic sensors are now excluded from the alarm system. All other functions of the system remain activated until the alarm system is disarmed again.
NOTE
One or any further number of presses of the ultrasonic sensor deactivation button excludes the ultrasonic sensors for the next time the alarm system is armed and only that instance. Pressing the button twice does not reactivate the system.
