Hi,

I’ve got a Qashqai 1.6 dci 2015 plate and the stop start has stopped working.

It flashes up a message saying stop / start system fault.

It’s got a new battery and the correct type for stop start systems so I know that isn’t the issue.

What else should I be checking? What else could be causing it?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Dave

The Battery is the easiest problem to fix. There are a few others after that which relate to engine/exhaust/ABS.

You will need to get an OBD scan for error codes (DTCs) .

Your cars age would most likely indicate an exhaust problem...emissions and sensing.

I'd get your battery checked just to make sure it's not that. If battery low under 70% ( I think) the auto stop/start is first thing to go. Error code P0090 which I had which makes it look like the sensor on your clutch has gone which it hasnt it's the battery. Buy your own OBD reader and you can clear fault yourself once battery charger fully.
